ForceBrands joined forces with Project Potluck — a nonprofit on a mission to help People of Color (POC) build successful companies and careers in consumer packaged goods (CPG) — for an invite-only lunch during the week of Expo West.

Hosted at the Hilton Anaheim, just steps from the trade show, more than 150 attendees from across the industry came together for an afternoon of networking.

The luncheon’s primary goal was to provide a safe space for POC professionals to connect with allies and other POC leaders, as well as network as a collective. The event was a curated mix of Project Potluck members and industry leaders, mentors, advisors, partners, and allies.

Attendees were encouraged to come ready to network, share their current challenges and goals, and ask for and offer help to one another by way of making introductions to their networks, sharing advice and expertise, or simply building a true connection.

Project Potluck is a first-of-its-kind organization and the largest network of POC in CPG. The nonprofit focuses on helping POC thrive by tackling the inherent bias in hiring, networking gaps, lack of access to capital for diverse founders, and more and provides its 800+ members access to community, resources, opportunities, and mentorship all at no cost to them.
